Adding and Subtracting

     Line up decimals

Multiplying

     Move decimal TOTAL spots after multiplying

Dividing

      Can only divide by whole numbers

OOO with decimals: ( PEMDAS)

Example:

(2.1 - 1)2 + 5.6 x 4

(2.1 - 1)2 + 5.6 x 4

        =  (
1.1)2 + 5.6 x 4

        = 
1.21 + 5.6 x 4        (1.1)2  =  1.1 x 1.1  =  1.21

       
=  1.21 + 22.4        5.6 x 4  =  22.4

     
   =  23.61
