Computer Usage

Students must sign-in, present their Pass and Kino ID card at the checkout desk and a computer will be assigned.

Computers are to be used for educational purposes only.

Internet Permission must be printed on the Kino ID and/or on file in the school office in order to use the Internet.

If you only remember one thing, remember that the librarians are here to help you.  We are experts in searching for information and are willing to help you with any project or assignment. If we don't know the answer, we will find someone that does! 

For starters, you need to become familiar with the Mesa Public Schools website http://www.mpsaz.org/  it contains great databases,citation tools, video podacsts, etc. You will be able to find the answers to most of your questions there. 

 

Check Out Procedures

Visit the Circulation Desk for any questions or problems regarding book borrowing, fines, due dates, or renewals.   

Students must show a current Kino ID card in order to checkout materials.

Students may check out 2 items for 2 weeks.

Encyclopedias are available for overnight check out only.

All materials are available for renewal, with one exception:  if the item is on hold for another student, it may not be renewed.   

Visit the Circulation Desk to see if the book you put on hold is in.

    

 

 

Library Rules

No electronic devices.

Keep food and drinks outside of the library.

Quiet voices only – be considerate of others using the library. 

Leave chairs flat on the floor. 

Be productive – read, research, do homework, checkout a book, etc.

Be responsible.

Be respectful.

 

Overdue Materials

Students with overdue materials may not check out items from the library until the overdue item is returned, renewed, or, if lost or damaged, paid for.

If a student has lost a book, he/she must pay the debt in the Bookstore and bring the receipt to the Library.
