Geocachers use latitude and longitude to place and locate caches. These activities will help you better understand how latitude and longitude work.
Read the materials and write five things you learned on the geocaching page in your journal.

Log in and read this Encyclopedia Britannica article.
Choose one of the books from the resource list and read the pages about latitude and longitude.
- Latitude and Longitude video
Go to this site and log in. Choose the folllowing sections of the video to view: Parallels of Latitude, Parallels of Longitude, and Using Latitude and Longitude to Find Locations. Write five things you learned on the geocaching page in your journal
Print out these worksheets and practice using latitude
and longitude. You must turn these in to me for a grade.
