College Course Credit

Many students ask, "What college courses do I get credit for if I pass the AP Exam?" For AP Lit. and Comp. you will get credit for both English 101 and English 204 (Intro to Literature) at Arizona State University. You have to score a 4 or 5.

However, each college and university varies. Please check with your college of choice to see what course credit they will give you for the AP test. Each college is different.

"The writing experiences your class provided have saved me at ASU. I never had to be scared about a large writing assignment or juggling multiple projects because I was already familiar with it.  Thank you so much for the effort you put into preparing and teaching! It is truly appreciated, and has proved to be very helpful.  I have written many papers since beginning college and have achieved an A on every paper! I know this wouldn’t have been as easy, and most likely not possible, if not for your class..." --Lanelle Alldredge, Class of 2011.

"My college professor told me to tell you thank you for teaching me how to write! So thank you :) and thank you for teaching me how to write a 7-10 page research paper! I'd be so lost otherwise."--Jessica Armfield, Class of 2011.

"I just wanted to thank you for challenging me and advancing my writing skills to a whole new level. Thanks to your class, I passed my English class with an A and fell no shorter than a B on an essay." --Bernardo Mateo, Class of 2012

"Your class has given me confidence as a writer. I now feel I am prepared for whatever college research papers they throw at me." --Morgan Goff, Class of 2012

"It's 11:30 p.m and I am writing an essay for my English class and I must admit that I am using the tools on the writing lab and it makes writing my paper so much easier. I am so glad I took AP Literature! I can promise you that this class really helps in college! Carry on class of 2014!" --Karina Bello, Class of 2013
