Overview

This week, you are doing two things at once. You are finalizing your visual argument essay and you are starting to brainstorm ideas for your scholarship essay. 

NICE MULTI-TASKING!

We will be doing some free writing, talking, small groups, large groups, individual work, listening, speaking, and pretty much anything you can do in a classroom. It's a busy week, but it ends with HALLOWEEN!

  1. Analyze specific rhetorical contexts, including circumstance, purpose, topic, audience, and writer, as well as the writing's ethical, political, and cultural implications.

  3. Use appropriate conventions in writing, including consistent voice, tone, diction, grammar, and mechanics. 
  4. Summarize, paraphrase and quote from sources to maintain academic integrity and to develop and support one's own ideas.

Additional Information

On Friday, we listened and followed along to Ellie Wiesel's speech, "The Perils of Indifference" which can be listened to by connecting to American Rhetoric through the hyperlink.
