The first three links in this box are tools, checklists, and information on how to evaluate web sites. The last two links are examples of bogus information presented on web sites and why you should carefully and critically evaluate all information you find on the Internet.
Cyber Ethics Links
As students search online information sources, it is important for them to know some basic rules for appropriate Internet use. These rules can include safety as well as copyright and how to cite sources.
Click on the video icon below to view the video on cyber safety. Then look through the websites listed at the left and decide on at least 5 rules you feel are important for students to remember when using online sources.
* The sites listed under "Citing Sources" are online tools that help students appropriately cite a variety of sources - an important part of cyber ethics. Most of the sites include the ability to cite sources using MLA or APA citation styles. Choose one you like and share it with your students.
