Writing Review

You will write a multi-paragraph essay using your best writing skills.  You will have three days in class to complete the work.  You may use a dictionary or thesaurus.  This essay should present your understanding of the writing process, structure, and organization of an essay.  Your final copy should be neatly written in pen.

This is an assessment of your writing abilities.  Do your best, but don't panic if you can't remember all aspects of good writing.

Day One:  Pick a topic
                 Brainstorm
                 Outline/Map/List

Day Two:  Write a rough draft
                   Edit carefully/revise

Day Three:  Write Final Draft

Topics to choose from:

1. Describe your three favorite places.

2.Describe the best day of your life, giving three reasons why it was the best.

3. What are three things you'd change about the world if you could?

4. If you could be a superhero, what three powers would you have and why?
