Customizing Guide Print Page

Page / Tab Titles

To change the name of a page/tab:

  • Click on the Add/Edit Pages in the yellow command bar and select Change Page Name
  • Pick the page you want to change
  • Enter a new name
  • Hit the Change Title button

Guide Colors

Changing Guide Colors:

  • Click on Guide Setting in the yellow command bar at the top, and select Change Layout/Colors. Select colors for your boxes
  • Select Read this first to get a list of colors and their hex number to fill in the available fields and further customize colors
  • Layouts and color choices are left up to guide authors, but customized layouts and color schemes should reflect. an academic appearance and should not distract from the content

Adjusting Columns

You can customize your guide by changing the number of columns on a page and adjusting the widths of columns. 

The default format for a LibGuides page consists of a narrow column on the left, a wide column in the center, and a narrow column with the  profile box on the right.

To adjust columns go to Add/Edit Pages in the yellow bar at the top:

  • Select Toggle/Resize Columns

    • Choose 3 column layout - Select pre-fill these values

    • Choose 2 column layout - Select pre-fill these values for one of the following
      • pre-fill for hiding left column
      • pre-fill for hiding left, equal column widths
      • pre-fill for hiding right column

    • Choose 1 column hiding left and right column (only center column shows) - Select pre-fill these values

    • Further customize by changing the values in the fields at the bottom - pay close attention to what the fields add up to
      • 3 column = 959
      • 2 column = 967
      • 1 column = 975
