Theorems

1) Rotation: a transformation in which a figure is turned about a fixed point.

              Center of Rotation: The fixed point 

 

2) Rotational Symmetry:  if there is a point in the image that the image can be turned around a certain number of degrees and still look the same.

3.) Theorem 7.3:  If lines k and m intersect at point P, then a reflection in K followed by a reflection in M is a rotation about point P

 a.) The angle of rotation is 2u0, where u0 is the measure of the acute or right angle formed by k and m.
