Welcome!
Welcome to your Libguide for Orientation to Mesa High School's Library !
We hope you'll use this guide to familiarize yourself with your library and all it has to offer. Use the tabs above to evaluate and locate relevant resources. We want all of the students and staff at Mesa High to know that we are here for you. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact one of the library staff. Feel free to phone, e-mail, or drop in for a question or to meet one-on-one to plot out a research strategy for any assignment. We're always happy to help!
General Library Rules
In the interest of creating and keeping a pleasant environment for all students and teachers, we ask that you follow these rules:
No food or drink (except clear water) should be consumed in the library.
Always bring your student ID and a pass (between first and last bell).
Cell phones may not be used in the library.
Be respectful of others! Work quietly.
Please do not move chairs or tables or lean back in chairs.
All school district and Mesa High School rules apply in the library.
Study Tips
Be Successful:
1) Schedule your time. Use your planner!
2) Take notes and study from them. Make flashcards or a study guide to review and study for tests.
3) Be organized. Dedicate a space in your backpack for every class, whether it's a folder or binder, where you ALWAYS store your notes, handouts and homework for that class.
4) If you are struggling, ask for help. Talk to your teacher, get a tutor, make use of all study resources on and off campus.
5) Find a place to study that is quiet, comfortable, and without distractions. Take a 5-10 minute break each hour.
6) Don't procrastinate! Work on your homework and study or review every night.
7) Regular sleep, exercise and a healthy diet will give you more energy and keep you feeling well and able to do your best.
